From raw material extraction and industrial processing to the production of high-purity silicon, a strategic supply chain is being created for the semiconductor, solar, and high-tech industries.

Refinery & High-Purity Silicon Center
From quartz to 6N high-purity silicon
At the second project site, a state-of-the-art refinery is being built to produce 6N high-purity silicon (99.9999 per cent purity).
Here, the extracted quartz is processed using state-of-the-art purification, crystallisation and refining processes to create one of the most valuable materials in the high-tech industry.
The production facility combines energy-efficient processes, cleanroom technology and state-of-the-art automation, thereby creating one of the most innovative silicon production facilities in Europe.
